This nurse practitioner or physician assistant job would be joining a private pain management practice. The pain management nurse practitioner or pain management physician assistant will be responsible for ordering labs, patient history, identifying normal/abnormal findings on studies, assessing patients, developing and implanting Treatment plans for patients, monitoring effectiveness of interventions, patient education, institute and change orders on patient charge as directed by physician, remova! l of sutures of minor lacerations, and administer IV’s upon ! order of supervising physician. Additional pain management nurse practitioner or pain management physician assistant duties include: perform CPR, follow physician orders for medication, and assist in surgery, perform emergency endotracheal intubation with ACLS cert, perform arthrocentesis/ injections of major joint, administer local anesthesia, prescribe medications that do not require physician initiation by law for a nurse practitioner.
