Field Service Engineer II

Install, troubleshoot, maintain and repair cutting edge medical lasers in Los Angeles and Southern CA. Cover 150 to 200 mile radius from L.A. by vehicles. Service customers in other parts of S.California,as well as Alburqueque, Las Vegas, Phoenix and Salt Lake by commercial air and rental car.M-F travel, home on week-ends.Prefer seasoned Road Warrior who has minimum of 3-6 years experience maintaining 100-150 instruments over a 3-5 state region.
Requires minimum 5 years experience maintaining either medical! lasers for OR, Opthalmic
lasers, ALCON LENSx Opthalmic la! sers or Lasik Surgery lasers ) 400-700 nanometers
(ALCON,AMO, Bausch & Lomb, etc) Will also consider FSE with experience on scientific
and research lasers (Q-Switched,YAG, CO2. femotsecond, etc.)
Company provides lap top for submitting monthly Excel reports Instrument Failures, Instruments
Repairs, Equipment Inventory, Service Contract Sales and upgrades, etc.. FSE will be responsible for training new hires and supporting the Regional Sales manager by attending regional trade shows, and assisting with product demos for interested physicians.
Ideal candidate will be very motivated, pro-active over-achiever. He /She will be a detail oriented, highly organized , analytical problem solver with proven multitasking skills, and a reputation
for consistently exceeding his supervisor's and customers' expectations.Must have superb
customer interaction skills and be particularly skilled at handling high pressure situations
in a clinical environment.!
Will also give strong consideration to recently released Navy AT, BMET, ET,FC and MT and FC techs with 6-10 years Experience ( E-5); Honorable Discharge, one or more NAMS, and superior Navy Evaluations ( all 4-5's or higher. Experience with targeting lasers a BIG PLUS.
Base Salary of $70,000 to $80,000 annually, and Quarterly and annual Bonus plan that averages
$4000 to $8000 or higher. Monthly Vehicle allowance + $.50/mile _ IRA + Major Medical.
