Job Summary
The Servic! e/Delivery Associate reports to the Operations Manager an is responsible for reviewing surgical systems, confirming completeness and compatibility of both implants and instruments and delivering system to area hospitals. The Service/Delivery Associate is also responsible for picking up the systems and, at the time of pickup, is required to confirm all instruments and implants are complete less the items used in surgery.
Duties and Responsibilities
à Reviews requisition sheet for completeness and compatibility of implants and instruments being requested
à Checks and confirms implant sets requested (indicated on the pick ticket) are contained on the implant pick list
à Checks and confirms all instrument sets requested (indicated on the pick ticket) are on the shipping list and physically present and complete, compatible and ready for surgery
à Delivers implants and instruments to appropriate departments at hospitals
Ã! Gains a signature from hospital representative on paperwork for implants and instruments
à Picks up instruments at hospitals â" Confirms all instrument trays are present. Opens all trays (even if wrapped) and confirms completeness. Reports missing items to Operations Manager immediately. Gains signature from hospital representative confirming missing items.
à Picks up implants at hospitals â" Confirms items used in surgery and reports any discrepancies to the Operations Manager immediately.
à Responsible for maintaining the company van regularly. Oil change every 3000 miles; Wash every week; major service every 15,000 miles; Alert Operations Manager to any abnormalities in function of vehicle.
à Responsible for assisting office staff as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong organization and prioritization skills and ability to multitask
- Excellent communicati! on skills , both oral and written
- Highly motivated, hardworkin! g, energetic and enthusiastic
- Proven ability to work in a team environment
- Proven ability to work under the pressure of tight deadlines and changing priorities
- Extremely keen attention to detail
