Endoplus private labels and contract manufactures medical devices and components for multiple large medical device companies and also sells reusable laparoscopic instruments directly to hospitals and surgery centers.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Job/Title : Mechan! ical/Manufacturing Engineer
Summary: Engineer capable of analyzing and managing manufacturing process improvements, product design maintenance, and engineering support of the quality system. This high energy individual will interact with manufacturing operators, machine vendors, and work cross-departmentally within Endoplus as the engineering resource responsible for evaluating advancements and new production methods to enhance workflow.
Responsibilities:
Provide engineering support for prototyping, training, testing, verification and validation activities, as well as the design and manufacture of tools, fixtures, and gauges.
Be the engineering resource responsible for maintaining Device Master Records (DMR), Device History Records (DHR) Bills of Material (BOM), In-process Manufacturing Prints, Inspections sheets, Set-Up Sheets, Work instructions, Installation Qualification (IQ) and Operational Qualification (OQ) of machines.
P! roject management: create and maintain project plans, coll! aborate effectively with Sales, Manufacturing, Design, Quality, Regulatory, customers, and vendors.
Provide engineering assistance for investigations into non-conforming products, product returns and customer complaints.
Be a support to design engineering and assist with new product development projects.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Manufacturing process experience (preferably with CNC Mills, Lathes, and/or Wire EDM).
Knowledgeable of general machine tooling including: Work holding fixtures, cutting tool selection, and disposables selection.
Proficient with SolidWorks or similar modeling (3D AutoCAD).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to details.
Proficient in design control processes, working knowledge of GD&T.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and statistical analysis software such as JMP or Minitab. Preferred:
Exper! ience with ESPRIT v2010 or higher or other CAM software.
LEAN environment and 5S principles.
Experience with Class II medical devices.
Experience in a 21CFR820 compliant environment.
