spital-210 bed facility
Active BLS (must be AHA or ARC), NRP required. WV license. Willing to look at those who do not have a WV license. It takes about 3 to 5 days to get a license IF........... they do not have any hits on their background or against their license. So, NOT WILLING TO LOOK AT ANYONE WHO ANSWERED YES TO A FELONY OR MISDEMEANOR ON THEIR APPLICATION, OR HAS A HIT ON THEIR LICENSE. This will cause them to go into a review board process to get their WV license, and that can take a very long time
General job duties, types of procedures required: Providing post anesthesia nursing in the immediate post anesthesia period and preparing the patient to transition to phase II on the inpatient/ICU setting.
Equipment utilized in the unit/dept:
Computerized charting: meditech, but moving to EPIC documentation now. Medication systems; Omnicell. Cardiac Monitors.
Required skills and min years of experience:
Minimum 5 years experience in PACU or ICU. Airway management, assessment skills, competence with monitoring equipment, and knowledge of anesthesia agents.

Shift: 0930 to 1900 Monday through Friday
Floating: May help in ambulatory surgery during down time in PACU.
Bed size: 9 beds.
1:2 nurse to patient ratio.
Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs, navy blue or white scrub jacket, navy blue scrub top. May wear white t-shirt underneath scrub jacket.
