The Payroll Representative is responsible for all tasks related to payroll processing. This includes performing all pre and post payroll-related tasks, including data entry of employee information, creating journal entries related to the applicable payroll, and completing all other necessary payroll processing and reporting functions. The ideal candidate is a go-getter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for serving others. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, especially Excel, is a must! They should be comfortable working independently and as a contributing member of a team. Meeting deadlines and attention to detail are critical pieces of this position. Our Payroll Representative must embody Pelican’s Core Values and provide excellent service in all that they do.A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PAYROLL REPRESENTATIVE INCLUDES:
- Accurately processing a biweekly and monthly payroll
- Ensuring accurate information is maintained in our HRIS
- Maintaining a high degree of confidentiality regarding employee and credit union matters
- Conducting internal audits to ensure accuracy and completion of tasks
- Completing all processing and reporting functions associated with payroll processing
- A High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of prior experience processing payroll via a payroll processing software/HRIS
- APA or other payroll certification is a plus
- Excellent oral, written, and telephone communication skills
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and member service skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Excel

- 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
