Duties and Responsibilities:
Systematically evaluates the quality, safety, and appropriateness of nursing practice.

Demonstrates accountability and responsibility for perioperative practice behaviors in context with departmental standards and current professional practice standards.

Identifies emergency situations and institutes corrective actions in a calm, efficient manner.

Acquires and maintains current knowledge of! perioperative nursing practice.

Demonstrates profess! ionalism in interactions with patients, physicians, and co-workers.

Promotes teamwork to provide safe, effective care to patients.

Collaborates with the patient, family, and health care team in the conduct of professional perioperative nursing practice, to achieve optimal outcomes.

Safeguards the rights of the patient while providing appropriate nursing care or services in the perioperative setting. Evaluates factors related to safety, effectiveness, availability, cost, and impact on practice relevant to the planning and delivery of patient care.

Demonstrates the ability to coordinate patient care within perioperative department and among caregivers.

Job Requirements:
Education: 2 years (i.e. Associate Degree in Nursing) beyond HS

Experience: Greater than 1 year of experience in OR/Surgery

License / Certification / Registration: Current Colorado or Compact State RN license
Working Environment: Works in a well lit, heated and ventilated area. Position requires considerable mobility throughout the facilities. Potential exposure to routine, communicable diseases through regular contact with employees and the public at large.
