Under the general direction of the Associate Vice Chancellor, Academic Planning and Budget, the Director of Campus Budget Services: (1) Works closely with the UC Office of the President (UCOP) and UCLA Business & Finance Solutions (BFS) on establishing and maintaining a strong financial controls environment and completing monthly, quarterly and fiscal year closing activities; (2) Oversees the centrally-managed budgeted funds and allocations to campus units; (3) Provides guidance to the campus on budgetary policy, fund use restrictions and designations, and the UC Office of the President (UCOP) directives.; and (4) Leads continuous improvement efforts/innovating to deliver insightful analytics and to provide greater support to make working with the central budget office easier for campus units. The Director also runs the central resources forecast and is an advisor to the Chancellor, EVC, and VC/CFO on operating and capital budget matters for the campus (~$8 billion).The Director is a member of the department's leadership team and will play a key role in the campus-wide business transformation and financial systems replacement initiative by establishing best practices in budget-related processes and enhancing the reporting and controls environment.
The Director will collaborate closely with the Director of Financial Analysis and Decision Support on other major initiatives being led by the group including implementing a new budget model, multi-year budgeting, and modernizing budgeting and analytical support applications used by the entire campus.

Advanced degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a similar role for large complex organization.

Significant experience at a top-tier financial or accounting services firm with experience in managing complex compliance or audit requirements.
