SIU Investigator [Ireland]


 

We are currently recruiting for a SIU Investigator located in our Dublin office.

Reporting directly to the SIU Team Leader, the successful candidate will work as part of the experienced SIU team to deter, detect and investigate fraud in all areas of the business, including claims.

Key duties of this role:

  • Review Red Flag Referrals from claims handlers and respond within SLA, using specialised SIU case management system (CMS) and new Sherlock tool.
  • Proactively investigate potential fraud in claims using defined processes (networking tools, open-source research, databases and search tools) but at times using own initiative, and manage cases to conclusion.
  • Manage a caseload of complex & sensitive investigations and work closely with our legal partners (ALS, Defence Solicitors & Legal Counsel) on litigated claims, to achieve the best commercial outcome for AXA.
  • Attend Court to give witness evidence, where necessary.
  • Assist Internal Garda Liaison officer in the making of referrals to Gardai, providing statements and preparing evidence as required.
  • Maintain relationships within AXA and with external service providers to identify and investigate fraud.
  • Deliver excellence in customer service dealing effectively with queries and FSPO complaints as appropriate.
  • You may be required to assist with the investigation of fraud in other areas of the business and will be required to travel to other AXA offices on occasion.

Your Profile
  • 2+ years overall claims handling experience in Personal Injury claims, SME/Farm desirable but not an essential.
  • Grandfather or APA Personal & Commercial qualification is an essential with CIP/MDI/CII qualifications an advantage.
  • Prior experience of managing litigated claims/investigations in ROI would be desirable.
  • Ideally a 3rd level business and/or legal qualification.
  • Knowledge of the legal jurisdiction in which you operate.
  • A good knowledge of U/W principles, insurance products, current claims procedures and a passion for fraud investigation.
  • Track record of delivering agreed objectives including fraud targets.
  • Good PC and system skills with a good knowledge of Solus.
  • Experienced in judgements, influencing skills and communication skills
