The West Virginia University School of Medici! ne, Department of Neurological Surgery, is seeking a board certified neurosurgeon. Academic rank will be commensurate with qualifications. A commitment to excellence in patient care, research and resident teaching is expected. Clinical, basic science and biomechanical research opportunities are available and encouraged.
We are seeking a neurosurgeon who has developed an expertise in a sub-specialty of neurosurgery. Opportunities for specialization include gamma knife, pain, spine, and functional. Established community outreach and referrals enables sub-specialty development in this small town university setting.WVU Hospitals, Inc., is a 530-bed facility, includes a Level 1 Trauma Center and Children's Hospital, in addition to numerous other patient care units.
WVU Faculty enjoy the benefits of a premier tertiary referral center, with a collaborative academic atmosphere conducive to professional development. Growth and expansion at WVU Healthcare are evident, with pl! ans for construction of a 100 bed tower addition to the hospit! al, as well as a major ambulatory care center.
