Cabell Huntington Hospital and Marshall University are
seeking a full-time Certified Nurse P! ractitioner to work
in Neurology.
The Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) would have an
active and comprehensive Neurology focused patient
clinic located in the University Physicians & Surgeons
(UP&S) Neuroscience Department to examine and treat
Neurology patients. The CNP will also assist the
physician led Neurology team with in-patient rounding on
Neurology patients in the acute care setting, performing
physical examinations, writing notes, performing H&P’s,
discharging patients, and other duties assigned. The CNP
will charge for their clinic and acute care services per
practice protocol. Efficient completion of chart
documentation will be expected and defined by practice
protocol. Depending upon clinic or acute care patient
site, the CNP will become trained and efficient in
documenting in the approved electronic charting system.
One year of Neurology experience required.
