Byrd Health Sciences Center of West Virginia University School of Medicine is seeking to hi! re a faculty member in adult psychology.
The position will be at the Assistant Professor rank in the clinical track. The successful candidate will participate in our APA-accredited internship program and medical student and resident education. He/She will be expected to provide clinical services and participate in scholarly activities. Applicants must possess a PhD in clinical psychology from an APA/CPA-accredited program with an APA/CPA-approved internship program and must obtain a license to practice psychology in West Virginia prior to starting. A rigorous CBT background is required. The applicant must demonstrate graduate and post-graduate training and experience in psychological evaluation of bariatric surgery candidates and treatment of patients with disordered eating behaviors. Extensive training in medical settings and interprofessional team-based care is expected. The position will require additional expertise and training in CBT treatment of a variety of ! outpatient psychiatric disorders and weight management interve! ntions.
