Description
The operating room technic! ian shall be responsible for assisting surgeons and nursing in preparation and performance of surgical procedures and processing and furnishing sterile and non-sterile supplies, equipment and service for the care and treatment of the patients. Answers to the Operating Room Supervisor.
Provides patient care in accordance with established plan of care and physician’s surgical intervention plan. Assists surgeon in performance of surgical procedure in accordance with standards.
Qualifications
Education:
High School graduate or GED and 18 years of age.
Graduate of Surgical Assisting Program
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years Surgical Technician experience required
Licenses/Certificates:
Certified Scrub Technician First Assistant
Current CPR certification or obtained within the first six months of employment
