This well established Hospitalist program was started in 2008. Requests from additional PCPs to provide inpatient services are the primary motivation for increasing the Hospitalists staffing. The program provides inpatient care for a combination of unassigned patients and area Primary Care practice patients. With good relationships in place, there's more demand for inpatient services and we're growing to meet those needs. Our 200+ bed hospital is a true regional facility, with a wide range of specialists and services to meet the needs of our local population of 60,000 and a service area population of 150,000.
Our Hospitalists enjoy 24/7 Specialty backup and realistic patient volume expectations. The 7 on/7 off schedule allows plenty of time off, with realistic 12 hour shifts when working. Hospitalists will provide care in the ICU, including Vent Management, but a team of Intensivists are available when needed. The physicians in our 24/7 staffed ED are cooperative.
The assignment
