Marshall University and Cabell Huntington Hospital are searching for a top-notch Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to assist our Thoracic and Vacsular Surgery Team in the Operating Room. Candidates should expect some clinical duties. Applicants will interact regularly with patients and staff and should be personable and a strong communicator.

• Administers medications and injections according to

physician direction.

• Sutures minor lacerations.
• Interviews and advises patients regarding health and

illness prevention. Recommends community resources to meet patient and family needs.

• Instructs patient and family regarding medications

and treatment instructions. Provides patient education.

• Manages medical and surgical emergencies.
• Assists in Surgical Procedures.

New graduates will be considered but one year of experience is preferred.

Job Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or an

accredited Physician Assistant Program.

• Minimum one (1) year experience in medical/surgical

patient care or related clinical experience.

• Requires standing and walking for extensive periods

of time. Requires full-range of body motion including handling and lifting of patients.

• Valid state license. CPR certification required.
