Responsibilities:
The Ambulatory Site Administrator will report to the Executive Director. Analyzes administrative and clinical workflows for multiple physician practices. Establishes work procedures and standards to improve efficiency, effectiveness and patient care.
Essential Job Functions:
- Provides input to strategic decisions in regards to ambulatory practices.
- Prepares periodic practice metrics and statistics
- Works collaboratively with the Corporate Office and Practice Administrator to achieve practice goals.
- Evaluates staffing and patient flow patterns to maximize provider productivity.
- Review work flows of practice staff and identify areas of improvement
- Documents policies, procedures and workflows
- Monitors practice compliance with all regulatory agencies governing health care delivery and the rules of any related accrediting bodies.
- Provides direction and support to all practice staff
- Travels to all sites
- Covers all positions as needed
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Five plus years working as an administrator or manager in a medical office setting.
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- An understanding of the various insurance plans as well as authorization/referral experience
- Knowledge of clinical and administrative practices and procedures
- Candidate should have excellent computer skills and some knowledge of using an electronic medical record and various other computer application needed to perform the job
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Flexibility with the ability to multi-task
Physical Demands: Must be able to sit for long periods of time, and must have manual dexterity to work computer systems and keyboard
