Our 200+ bed hospital is a true regional facility, with a wide range of specialists and services to meet the needs of our local population of 60,000 and a ser! vice area population of 150,000. This well established Hospitalist program was started in 2008. Requests from additional PCPs to provide inpatient services are the primary motivation for increasing the Hospitalists staffing.
Seeking Board Certified or Board Eligible (w/recent training) IM, but also open to experienced FP w/strong inpatient background. Responsibilities include ICU coverage, central lines and intubations are optional for Hospitalists. ER covers codes, but Hospitalist typically responds for backup/assistance. Our Hospitalists enjoy 24/7 Specialty backup and realistic patient volume expectations. The 7 on/7 off schedule allows plenty of time off, with realistic 12 hour shifts when working. Hospitalists will provide care in the ICU, including Vent Management, but a team of Intensivists are available when needed.
The assignment provides a competitive hourly pay + malpractice + travel/lodging + per diem.
